"Last Gasp" is a masterclass in gritty, uncompromising coke-rap by the formidable collaborative duo of Upstate New York wordsmith 38 Spesh and Jersey City lyricist Ransom (Anthony Reed). Released as a standout track from their critically acclaimed joint album Trust the Sopranos (on May 21, 2021), the song serves as an intense exercise in lyrical boxing, cinematic street storytelling, and elite boom-bap purism.
