"The Story of O.J." is a brilliant, provocative, and culturally profound hip-hop masterpiece by legendary Brooklyn rapper JAY-Z (Shawn Carter). Released on June 30, 2017, as the third single from his critically acclaimed, Grammy-nominated thirteenth studio album, 4:44, the song serves as an uncompromising, sophisticated meditation on generational wealth, systemic racism, artistic ownership, and the inescapable realities of Black identity in America.
