"Recession Proof" is a triumphant, high-energy single by Memphis hip-hop mogul Yo Gotti. Released on July 2, 2020, to align with Independence Day weekend, the song marked a major milestone in Gotti's career: his very first release as a fully independent artist. Following the release of his final album under Epic Records, Untrapped, earlier that year, Gotti dropped "Recession Proof" via his own independent label, Collective Music Group (CMG). The track later appeared as a bonus song on his 2022 album, CM10: Free Game.
