MO3 (Melvin Noble, 1992–2020) was a prominent Dallas rapper celebrated for his soulful, gospel-infused vocals and unflinching storytelling about street life. Co-signed by Boosie Badazz, he built a massive regional and national following with his Shottaz mixtape series, with Shottaz Reloaded hitting the Billboard Rap charts. Tragically, his rapidly rising career was cut short when he was murdered in Dallas in November 2020 at the age of 28.
OG Bobby Billions, also hailing from Dallas, Texas, is a rapper recognized for his own “street gospel” sound and tracks like “Food Stamp Baby”. He blends raw hip-hop elements with deep, melodic pain, earning him a dedicated audience.
The two artists are forever linked by their monumental collaboration, “Outside (Better Days)”. Released posthumously for MO3 in early 2021, the track became a massive hit. Pairing MO3’s emotive singing with OG Bobby Billions’ powerful lyrics, the song served as a poignant reflection on the dangers of the streets and stands as a defining anthem for both of their legacies in Southern hip-hop.
